In 2010, Shane McGowen of The Pogues initiated a Haiti Relief record to raise money and awareness for those affected by the disasterous Haiti earthquake.

 

It was dubbed Shane McGowen and friends… The "friends" being Nick Cave (of Bad Seeds fame), Chrissie Hynde, Mick Jones (The Clash), Glen Matlock (The Sex Pistols), Johnny Depp, Bobby Gillespe (Primal Scream), Paloma Faith and Eliza Doolittle amongst others.

 

The track, their version of Screamin Jay Hawkins' "I put A Spell On You", was originally 13 minutes long before it was cut down do a more sensible length for the release!
