Gavin is a London based Producer and Mixer, who has also been known to do a spot of writing, engineering, playing …and just about any and all aspects of making recorded music (Choons! As we sometimes call them.)

 

Based at Plato Studios, London, he can also be found inhabiting a large variety of other studios doing a large variety of things:- from mixing records, recording orchestras, playing his guitar, tracking bands, making beats, polishing the occasional you know what (if necessary!) – to more mixing, developing new artists, songwriting, hanging out with nobody in particular, hanging out with serious mofos, doing stunt vocals, re-inventing the wheel and generally doing…

Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Gavin’s early career was spent coming up through the ranks of the vibrant and diverse local industry - first as a musician and band leader - and later as a producer, mixer and writer who's work garnered several South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

 

Since moving to London in 2001, he has contributed production, mixing, arrangements, engineering and performances to several Gold and Platinum selling releases, as well as achieving the coveted UK No. 1 single spot.

 

His impressive production, mix and engineering resume includes Simple Minds, Bill Wyman, Avril Levigne, Imelda May, Martha Waignwright,  Britney Spears, Simply Red, Neil Young, Jeff Beck, Andreas Vollenweider and many others.

 

Gavin brings to bare considerable experience of both music and tech to bridge the gap between artists, labels, investors, technology - and all that other stuff…
