I spent about 5 months on this project with the lovely and talented producer Al Stone (Jamiroquai, Bjork, Stereo MCs) and programmer extrordinaire Ned Douglas (Dave Stewart, Marianne Faithful, Jimmy Cliff).

 

The big story behind this record at the time (which went on to sell over 4 million copies) was that Daniel had made it himself in his bedroom. Strange how we spent all those months in Metropolis Studio E on the SSL.

 

Jokes aside, Daniel is both an incredible singing and writing talent.
