In 2003, Metropolis Studios then chief engineer Matt Lawrence (now Grammy winning serious mofo) asked me to be his Pro Tools guy for the production of Avril Lavignes contribution to the 2003 Warchild "Hope" Album - her version of Bob Dylan's "Knocking On Heavens Door"

 

Avril and writing partner Evan Taubenfeld took the opportunity to spend a few extra days in the studio putting down several new song ideas for Avril's upcoming album - so we just went along for the ride!

 

(We were forced, by FBI style heavies, to delete all copies of the new songs after they had made their backups!)

 

The Warchild cut turned out great, though.
